How can face reading be healing?
Have you ever wondered why people’s faces are so different? Some are memorable with prominent features like a big nose or squinty eyes…whilst others blend in with the crowd?
Face Reading – What’s in a face?
When you know what to look for, a person’s face is an insight into their emotional, mental and physical patterns that occur on a daily basis. It helps us to answer questions like:
How does a person’s face indicate what their potential is to perform certain tasks?
How does a face tell you a person’s tendency to think in a particular way?
How does the face show areas of strength or weakness in the body?
Face reading is a powerful technique that can give you an instant insight into a person’s character. It can be used for many purposes including relationship compatibility, recruitment and selection and individual therapy.
The Healing Aspect – How is face reading applied for healing?
Face reading is more than an analysis technique, which satisfies our curiosity about people. It is one of several techniques used in psychosomatic therapy designed to bring a person’s awareness to how they have come to create their physical shape and structure in a particular way.
When it is used for the purposes of holistic healing, it can dramatically change a person’s view of themselves and assist them in balancing repetitive behaviours which may not be serving them. It can also bring our attention to positive aspects of our ourselves so we learn to appreciate what we have.
In essence, face reading allows us to see where people tend to focus their energy. For example, if a person has a highly developed or fast intellect they tend to have a high, straight-up forehead, which shows that the proportionate amount of energy invested the mind and mental processes. We know from holistic healing, that too much mental energy can causes restlessness, over-stimulation and lack of practicality or grounding. It is therapeutic for people to not only increase their self-awareness but also be able to see the results of their behaviour in their face.
Face reading is an overview of what you will find when you conduct a full mind-body analysis, which reveals the overall energy flow and restriction through the different emotional centres of the body. It is ideally performed in person in order to touch the face, feel the tissue and connect with the person. This approach encourages the person to go deeper and create new awareness and change from that point onwards.
Face Reading Techniques – How do I read a face?
There are a number of techniques that can guide us in our analysis of a person’s face. Each one should not be used in isolation as the person’s overall character must be considered in the context of the whole face.
- The Body in the Face
The entire body is reflected in the face. The face can give a snapshot of the state of the body, just by looking at different features and their corresponding body part or chakra. For example, how lines sloping downwards on the face may indicates a drain of energy in the corresponding area of the body.
- Left-Right Balance
When we split the face down the middle, we can see the balance of the personality in terms of their masculine and feminine sides. The size and distribution of bone structure and tissue on each side indicates how freely or restricted a person feels in expressing their masculine and feminine traits. For example, a strong soul that is sensitive and intuitive will often have a larger left side that projects more forward than the right.
- Mental/Emotional/Physical Zones
There are three zones in the face that reveal the balance of energy across the mental, emotional and physical aspects of the personality. For example, a mentally driven person is likely to have more surface area in the upper zone of the face, while a person who puts more energy into practical tasks is likely to have more tissue in the lower part of the face.
- Most Prominent Feature
A person’s most prominent or obvious facial feature shows the most dominant aspects of their personality, which is often what they want people to notice most. For example, someone with a prominent forehead shows how much mental activity dominates their personality.
